Lakshmi Puja : Day 3 of Diwali
Asato ma sat gamaya | (असतो मा सद्गमय ।)
Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya | (तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।)
Mṛtyor ma amṛtam gamaya | (मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।)
Om shanti shanti shantihi || (ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥)
Translation:
From untruth lead us to Truth.
From darkness lead us to Light.
From death lead us to Immortality.

Diwali signifies victory of good over evil, of right over wrong, and of the light of higher knowledge dispelling all the darkness of ignorance.
The third day, the day of the Diwali Lakshmi Puja, is the main festive day of all the five days of Diwali.
Diwali or Deepavali is known as the “festival of lights”, for the common practice is to light diyas and place them around the home, in courtyards, verandahs, and gardens, as well as on roof-tops and outer walls and offer prayers to Goddess Lakshmi.
